Neighborhood highlights
Botafogo curves around a small bay with Sugarloaf Mountain standing at the far end of nearly every street view. The neighbourhood mixes old townhouses turned into bars and bookshops with the towers of Praia de Botafogo and a large shopping centre by the water. Two metro stations put Copacabana ten minutes away, and the bayside path runs south to Flamengo park. Evenings are lively along Rua Nelson Mandela, where guests find craft beer, live music and some of the city's most talked-about restaurants.
