Two sofas face the garden windows in this Lagoa apartment, with the green water of the lagoon just beyond the trees. There are two bedrooms with a bed each, one full bathroom and a patterned rug over the wooden floors. The white kitchen has stainless steel appliances, a dark backsplash and a washing machine beside the sink. Pets are welcome, and the running path around the lagoon starts at the end of the block. A small grocery store and two cafes sit on the same corner.

Neighborhood highlights
Lagoa is built around a saltwater lagoon with a five-mile path looped around it, and half the neighborhood seems to be on that path at any hour. Kayaks and pedal boats go out from the small piers, and kiosks along the edge serve dinner under the trees. From the eastern bank the statue on the mountain stands directly above the water. Mornings here start with runners rather than with traffic.
