Summer trips get even better with a pool, a terrace and an outdoor dining area.
The balcony is the reason to book this Ipanema penthouse, with a sofa, a row of planters and the sunset over the hills. Three bedrooms and four beds sit behind tall windows, and both bathrooms carry a hair dryer and a stack of towels. The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, a stovetop and a coffee maker, and a washing machine sits off the hallway. Air conditioning runs in every room and a large TV faces the living room sofa. Ipanema Beach is three blocks downhill, past the produce market that sets up on Saturday mornings.

A truly grand penthouse two blocks from Ipanema Beach. The bedroom's floor-to-ceiling window made waking up feel like a postcard.
Beatriz answered every message within minutes and the living room is enormous, with light pouring in all afternoon.
We liked it a lot. Clean, quiet and well placed in Ipanema; the only miss was a hair dryer we could not find until day three.
Hard to beat this location. We were out the door and walking through Ipanema within a minute of leaving the penthouse.
Beatriz left a welcome note and a bottle of cold water in the fridge, which after a long flight into Rio de Janeiro meant more than it sounds.

The exact location is shared after your reservation is confirmed.
Ipanema wakes up in the water: swimmers first, then the beach vendors dragging their carts across the sand. Two blocks inland the streets turn into bookshops, juice counters and small restaurants that stay busy until late. On Sundays the avenue along the sand closes to cars and belongs to bikes, dogs and families carrying folding chairs. Guests work out within a day that almost everything they need sits inside a ten-minute walk.
