Neighborhood highlights
Foz is where the river finally gives up and meets the Atlantic, and the change in the air is obvious the moment you arrive. A long seafront walk runs past a lighthouse, tide pools and a wooden pergola that everyone photographs at sunset. The streets behind hold seafood restaurants, ice cream counters and some of the calmest residential blocks in the city. Waves here are loud enough to hear from the bedroom on a rough night.
