A brick fireplace and a pair of wicker armchairs fill the living room of this Coral Gables guest suite. The bedroom has dark green walls, terracotta bedding and two beds, and the full bathroom comes with a hair dryer. Free parking sits in the driveway and air conditioning runs through the whole suite. Breakfast is easy at the cafes around the plaza, a three-minute walk from the door. The Venetian pool, the tree-lined shopping street and the trolley stop are all close by.

Neighborhood highlights
Coral Gables was drawn on paper before it was built, and it shows in the arched entrances, the coral rock walls and the streets named in Spanish. Banyans arch over whole avenues, so the walk stays shaded even in August. A spring-fed pool carved out of an old quarry sits near the middle, along with a main shopping street of a few dozen blocks. It is the most formal and the most residential neighborhood on this coast.
