Neighborhood highlights
Del Valle is where the city goes about its ordinary business, with schools, bakeries, hardware stores and street markets that set up on a different block each day of the week. Streets are wide and lined with trees, and the blocks turn quiet after dark. Two large parks sit within a short walk, one of them sunk below street level in an old clay pit. There is little for a visitor to photograph and a lot to like about living here for a week.
