Neighborhood highlights
Roma Norte is the neighborhood everyone recommends first, and the reason becomes obvious on the first walk: jacaranda trees, wide medians and early-twentieth-century houses with elaborate stonework. Bookshops, coffee roasters and small kitchens share blocks with hardware stores and taco stands that have not changed in forty years. A leafy circular plaza with a fountain sits near the middle and fills with dog walkers each evening. It is flat, easy to walk after dark and endlessly browsable.
