This is a private room in a quiet El Raval flat, with a concrete ceiling and beige bedding. You get one bed, an armchair corner with houseplants and a brass floor lamp, and a bathroom with two round mirrors and a black sink. The room comes without a kitchen, so most guests eat at the bakeries and noodle bars along the street outside. A TV, Wi-Fi and a welcome for small pets are all part of the stay. The modern art museum, the old hospital courtyard and two metro stops are within three minutes on foot.

Neighborhood highlights
El Raval is the most mixed and most argued-about neighborhood in the city, and it rewards guests who arrive curious. Groceries, old taverns, a contemporary art museum with skaters permanently outside it and a wide palm-lined promenade all sit within a few blocks. It runs late, it is never quiet and it is right beside everything else worth walking to. Keep a bag in front of you in the crowds and enjoy the rest of it.
